We all witness unacceptable behaviours, at work, in class and in the community. This course gives attendees the skills to challenge those behaviours if they feel safe to do so.

Active Bystander training is designed to equip students and staff with the skills to challenge unacceptable behaviours in a safe way. While walking around we are all bystanders however when we get involved in any capacity we become an active bystander and this training encourages participants to put themselves in someone else’s shoes and provide support which makes a positive difference.

You will be taught how to handle situations you may come across in everyday life such as online bullying, sexual harassment and when someone is in need of medical attention. The importance being placed on ensuring you know how to have a positive impact on the situation while keeping you and others safe.
