Drugs and Alcohol

Here at NSU we do not condone the use of drugs, but we want to ensure that any student who chooses to take drugs feels safe in doing so and knows the appropriate action to take if things go wrong. We want you to keep yourself and others safe.

If you or someone you know has taken drugs and is feeling unwell,

call 999 immediately.

Paramedics have a duty to not break confidentiality and will not inform the police without your consent.

If you're with someone who needs medical help, call an ambulance and tell the crew everything you know about the drugs taken, it could save their life. If you have any drugs left, hand them over to the crew as it may help. They won't tell the police. Harm Reduction

The only way to avoid all the risks is to not take any drugs which are not prescribed for you. Always think carefully about the risks before you take any type of drug. If you are being coerced or forced in any way, please seek help/advice.
