Food Pantry

The food pantry exists to support students who are in need to ensure they have food to eat. We want to support as many students as possible, as well as provide signposting and guidance to ease the burden of the cost of living.

How it Works

Each day, tickets will be available to use the food pantry the following day.
e.g. Tickets for Monday will be available to book from Sunday. Tickets for Tuesday will be available to book from Monday and so on.

Tickets are limited to one per person, and only one person can use the Food Pantry per ticket.

If you have a ticket, you can visit the NSU Welcome Desk any time between 9am and 5.30pm (10am-4pm in holidays) and the team will open the food pantry for you to select your items.

Requirements

There are no checks or proof needed to access the food pantry, although you must present your ticket. We ask individuals to only use the pantry once a week and stick to the item limit set out by the team.

Tickets

Long Term Support

To ensure we're offering long term support, once you have used the food pantry three times, the NSU Wellbeing Team will get in touch for a chat and offer some signposting for further support. This info will not be passed onto the Uni Welfare Team, unless it is agreed between the NSU Wellbeing Team and yourself.

Coach Lane

There will continue to be a food pantry at Coach Lane which you can access during reception desk hours.
