Peer Mentoring 

Wellbeing Matters - Student-led Peer Support Group

Join peer wellbeing advisers for a series of relaxed, supportive sessions designed to help you take care of your mental health. 

Held every 2 weeks, each session focuses on a different theme such as low mood, anxiety or academic stress and includes:

  • Arts and Crafts
  • Open Study Space
  • Games
  • Juice and Biscuits
  • Take-Home Resources
  • Guided  and Self-Guided Activities

CNE Sexual Health Drop Ins


Come along to the Childrens North East's sexual health drop ins for students under 25 years old. 

They will be offering the C-Card (Free condom scheme), pregnancy testing and decision making.

Chlamydia and Gonorrhorea screening and general advice, guidance and sign posting.

PROPS Drop-In - Drugs and Alcohol Support

PROPS is a specialist service for people whose lives are affected by someone else’s alcohol or drug use.  

About Props

We understand how difficult it can be supporting someone who uses alcohol or drugs. We understand how stressful, worrying, upsetting, and isolating it can be.  

You are not alone. 

Practical and Emotional Support 

We offer practical help and emotional support for families of drug and alcohol users. Our tailored approach ensures you’ll receive the support that meets your specific needs.

Through our one-to-one support you can discuss your concerns around alcohol and drug use within your family with a member of our team. This will enable us to identify the type of support that you’ll benefit from the most.

NTaR - Newcastle Treatment and Recovery 

NTaR covers all of drug and alcohol services within Newcastle and is an ageless service. Cumbria, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear NHS Foundation Trust are the lead provider in partnership with Waythrough and Changing Lives under the name of NTaR

How to get referred
Referral into the service can be done by email: NTARreferrals@cntw.nhs.uk or by telephone: 0191 206 1117

Referrals by email can be made anytime and telephone referrals between 10am – 4pm Monday to Friday. This also includes self-referrals.

Drop in's are held every other week, they have a stall in the main entrance and have a private room booked for confidential conversations.
